In this hybrid community experience participants become familiar with the steps and nuance of creating a fermented indigo sugar dye vat while meditating on what personal and collective transformation they desire to bring forth in our shared world. 

The insights will be written on small flags, charging the indigo vat these intentions, witnessing the transformation of color as a symbol of personal and collective transmutation.

Participants will keep their talisman of personal metamorphosis, while the prayer flags for the collective will continue on with the project, accumulating into an amassing collective art installation. 

Participants are encouraged to bring a few items of used clothing/textiles to charge in the vat while experimenting with dye, folding, and tie techniques, breathing new life into apparel, consciously and creatively rebelling against the capitalist driven, environmentally destructive culture of fast fashion.
