Cultivating community through collective creativity.

As a textile artist, natural dyer and educator, my mission is to facilitate creative community experiences which focus on repair, upcycling, and visioning a just and sustainable world.

The meditative practice of dipping textiles in vats of plant pigment connects us to a tradition removed from modernity allowing the nervous system to calm and new pathways of thought to emerge.

It is my great pleasure to facilitate workshops where people can spend time with their inner artist within community. I regularly lead natural dye workshops and pop ups in the Pacific Northwest and Southern California which can be found in my shop and my instagram @sulaiazul

I have a variety of offerings including ever expanding experiments in curriculums weaving together indigo dye in relation to social justice and potential for personal and collective transformation. More info on that work can be found here.

I also do private events where I bring the dye studio to you! Perfect for baby showers, corporate and yoga retreats, birthday celebrations, festivals, or a Sunday afternoon. Contact me for further inquiry.
