Sulai Lopez is a multi disciplinary artist, performer, and award winning costume designer. She is committed to dream-like imagery, deep comedy, vulnerability in the name of connection, and unearthing underlying stories.
Composed of a Venezuelan father and American mother, she is third generation Californian born in Santa Cruz, California and raised in San Miguel De Allende Mexico, Saint Agatha Maine, graduating high school in Chicago, Illinois. At 17 she moved to NYC and spent a decade as a stage actress with formative chunks of time in Mexico and India. This last decade has been given to art media on the west coast and currently spilts her time between Topanga Canyon and Joshua Tree. The diversity of environment has shaped her sensibilities into an association with the wonderer and exploration of homes and habitats.
